Where to stay in Sukhothai:

New Sukhothai

New Sukhothai and Old Sukhothai are connected by a twelve-kilometre road. You can take the bus or go for the more convenient tuk-tuk. There are several hotels to be found next to this road, for those who want to enjoy a countryside feeling and complete peace. But if you’re planning to stay longer than a day, it’s inconvenient to travel all the way to New Sukhothai. New Sukhothai has a few bars, a nightclub, plenty of good restaurants and cafes and there is a Saturday Night Market that attracts the whole town. Unfortunately, the younger generation moved to more vibrant cities nearby, mainly Phitsanulok.
