Looking for the best Khao Soi in Bangkok? In this article, we cover what we believe are the best Khao Soi in Bangkok, even though Khao Soi is typically served in the Northern parts of Thailand. With a little bit of research, you can find this delicious Thai curry even in the Big Mango.

Khao Soi is a popular curry that originates from Northern Thailand, Myanmar and Laos. This herby dish is prepared with noodles, usually served with a tender chicken drumstick (or beef) and topped with crunchy fried noodles. In Northern Thailand, you can find this delicious meal in almost any restaurant but in Bangkok, it’s a little bit harder to find on regular menus. We did a lot of research and came to the following conclusion when it comes to the best khao soi in Bangkok.

The best khao soi in Bangkok are:

1. Khao Soi (50 THB) - Daradalay

The restaurant is surrounded by trees and guests can look out over the peaceful garden and forget they’re in the heart of one of the world’s largest cities.  Daradalay offers different varieties of Khao Soi including pork, chicken and a vegetarian mushroom version cooked with organic, homegrown produce. The fresh ingredients, relatively low prices and authentic Thai feel make Daradalay our number one place for Top 5 Khao Soi Bangkok. A bowl of Khao Soi costs 50 THB. 2. Khao Soi (50 THB) - Hann Khao Soi Lovers

Hann Khao Soi Lovers moved to a different location due to popularity. Before, Hann Khao Soi Lovers was located in an alley close to Ari BTS Station, which is a popular alley to get cheap and delicious food. Especially during lunch, when office workers and university students in the area are looking for a delicious meal, this alley is crowded. In other words, it's well worth the visit as well. Nowadays, you can find Hann Khao Soi Lover a Saliratthawiphak Road, a busy road between Ari BTS and Saphan Kwai BTS. Hann Khao Soi Lovers is changed into a real restaurant with air conditioning and more seats. The menu is also expanded, however, the three most popular dishes still remain on the menu: Khao Soi and two different, typically Northern Thai rice noodle curries.

The Khao Soi is by far the favourite and can be seen as one of the best khao soi in Bangkok. The authenticity of their speciality is what makes hungry Thai come back on a weekly basis. What changed at the brand-new restaurant as well, is the fact that doesn't run out of Khao Soi anymore, which used to be the case when Hann Khao Soi Lovers was still a street food vendor. So you don't have to worry that you can't taste this heavenly curry when you visit this restaurant. One of the things that didn't change is the price. A bowl of delicious chicken Khao Soi with a Chicken Drumstick cost you only 50 THB. Hann Khao Soi Lovers is also listed in our article about the best local restaurants in Ari Bangkok. Bonus: Khao Soi (50 THB) - Nisara (near Suvarnabhumi Airport)

Although not located in Bangkok, but in Lat Krabang, which is close to Suvarnabhumi Airport, there is a unique local eatery that serves Thai halal dishes including an authentic, traditional Khao Soi. The big difference between this type of Khao Soi and regular Khao Soi you find in Bangkok and other places in Thailand is that this Khao Soi is much oilier. This has to do with the way they process the curry paste. The Khao Soi is served with roti which you can dip in the curry. Aside from Khao Soi, we recommend you try their Beef Massaman (60 THB) as well, which is also oily. More information about this unique, local eatery, such as opening times, location and other TopTravelFoods users' opinions can be found on the TopTravelFoods review page of Nisara.
