It’s important to know that there are two Rung Reung Pork Noodle restaurants, which are owned by brothers. The restaurants are located next to each other. The exact reason why they separated is for me unknown, but when it comes to food, I could not taste any difference. Also, both restaurants are hugely popular and especially in the morning as well as during lunchtime, the restaurants are jam-packed and guests often have to wait a while before getting a table. Rung Rueng Pork Noodle is also listed in our article about the best noodles in Bangkok for obvious reasons. For more information about this restaurant, such as the opening times, recommended dishes, the menu and other TopTravelFoods users’ opinions check out the TopTravelFoods review page of Rung Reung Pork Noodle

Gedhawa is a popular Northern Thai restaurant in Phrom Phong, located on Sukhumvit Soi 33. It’s a simple, straight-to-the-point restaurant with proper food and fair prices. 4. Klang Soi

Klang Soi is a beautiful Thai restaurant in Phrom Phong that is in business for many years and is tucked away from Bangkok’s chaos on Sukhumvit Soi 49. The restaurant is inside a colonial townhouse and is a typical place where Thai families come to dine together. The menu of Klang Soi is confusing as there are no prices shown and the translation of many Thai dishes seem incorrect. You can ask the friendly staff for recommendations, or order one of the following tasty dishes: Pad Pad Pla Duk (165), which is a fried catfish curry. Yum Pomelo (150 THB), which is a pomelo salad with prawns and pork. And the Beef Green Curry (165 THB), which is one of their specialities. For more information about this restaurant, such as the opening times, recommended dishes, the menu and other TopTravelFoods users’ opinions check out the TopTravelFoods review page of Klang Soi.

5. Kram

Kram is yet another popular Thai restaurant in Phrom Phong which is tucked away on Sukhumvit Soi 39. Kram offers a good variety of unique Thai dishes which are slightly pricier than the other recommended Thai restaurants but won’t break your wallet. For example, their Pad Prik King (220 THB) is a crispy pork belly stir-fry coated with a tasty chilli paste and is one of our favourite dishes at Kram thanks to the flavour, texture and spiciness. Another amazing dish is their signature Crab Meat and Wild Betel Leaf Yellow Curry (340 THB), which is a Southern-style curry with large chunks of crab meat. For more information about this restaurant, such as the opening times, recommended dishes, the menu and other TopTravelFoods users’ opinions check out the TopTravelFoods review page of Kram.

Important: unfortunately, Kram is one of the many victims in Bangkok of the COVID situation as has recently closed its doors permanently
