Ekkamai is a popular, trendy area that attracts the younger, Thai generation with plenty of cool places that satisfy your hunger, thirst and dancing moves. And when it comes to food, Ekkemai does offer a wide variety of amazing Thai restaurants. With that being said, let’s jump to our results.

The best restaurants in Ekkamai are:

1. HereHai

HereHai is one of my personal favourite Thai restaurants in Ekkamai, simply because they bring common Thai dishes to the next level. HereHai wants to serve the best crab fried rice in Bangkok and they seriously do an amazing job with their signature Insane Crab Fried Rice (340 THB), which is a large portion with a crazy amount of crab meat. There is also a family-sized portion available, which costs you 990 THB. But there are two other heavenly dishes available on the menu that makes this place so hugely popular, namely the Stir-Fried Scallop with Holy Basil (300 THB), which is a pad kra pao with scallops, and their Stir-Fried Mantis Shrimp with Garlic (360 THB), which are fried mantis shrimps covered in baked garlic and served with seafood sauce. HereHai is also listed in our article about the best Thai restaurants in Bangkok. More information such as the opening times, the menu, recommended dishes and TopTravelFoods users’ opinions can be found on the TopTravelFoods review page of HereHai.

2. Mother May I

Mother May I is located in a wonderful building in Ekkamai Soi 10 and serves amazing Thai comfort food. Once then owners saw the building, they were immediately sold as it’s a place that takes you back to the comfort of home, the smell of freshly baked bread, colourful desserts, fresh fruits and the foods mother used to cook for them. One of our personal favourites is the Mussaman Curry with Chicken and Durian (220 THB), which is listed in our article about the best curries in Bangkok. But many classic Thai dishes are available on the menu too, which all are beautifully presented and very tasteful with the use of great quality ingredients. For example, their Kai Jom Yud (120 THB), which is a Thai omelette with loads of squid, is one of the specialties of one from the chef and was crisply fried to perfection. More information such as the opening times, the menu, recommended dishes and TopTravelFoods users’ opinions can be found on the TopTravelFoods review page of Mother May I.
